POSITION DETAILS

Position Title: Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time, Onsite (5:2), Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm

Reporting To: Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Location: Perth, Western Australia

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural, or equivalent)

 

Desired Work Experience:

â–ª 3-4 years' engineering experience

â–ª 1-2 years’ experience in structural/civil design.

 

Required Skills:

â–ª Competent computer literacy skills, including with MS Office package

â–ª Sound written/verbal communication skills

â–ª Basic civil, structural and earthworks engineering understanding

 

Desired Skills:

â–ª Basic knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation design

â–ª Experience with earthworks and roads modelling/drawing software, including Civil 3D or preferably Bentley’s OpenRoads

Required Licences & Registrations:

â–ª Valid Australian driver’s licence

â–ª Flexibility to work outside standard office hours, if and when reasonable

â–ª Familiarity with the duties imposed upon you and the Company by Western Australia’s occupational health and safety legislation, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA)

â–ª Willingness to comply with government mandated health directives, including vaccinations

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

​

This position works under direct supervision and is responsible for assisting with the successful completion of a wide range of civil/structural/earthworks/mechanical engineering deliverables. Main responsibilities relate to technical, administrative, QA/QC and other aspects of engineering projects.

 

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

​

Project Management:

â–ª Assist project managers with various project management tasks

 

Engineering Design:

â–ª Draw and assist the Company’s drawing office with the issue of structural/civil/earthwork GA’s, elevations, sections, and detail drawings as well as 3D models

â–ª Review drawings

â–ª Develop and review standard engineering deliverables, including:

â–ª Calculation reports 

â–ª MTO’s

â–ª Specifications

 

Workplace Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

â–ª Ensure all activities performed at work are carried out in compliance with applicable HSE protocols, laws and regulations, as well as Company policies
